京都から滋賀県に抜ける途中峠
峠の横にある沼に鬼蜘蛛が住んでいる
全長5m・全高3m、顔は鬼、胴体は蜘蛛、足は八本、手は大きなハサミがあり二本、胴体は黄色の縞があり、全身の色はこげ茶、全身に長さ10cm程度の針金のような毛がびっしり生えている
普段は沼の中に住んでいて
沼の横の道を通る人間、熊、猪を襲い食べている
夜、地元の人は誰も通らない峠道

A giant spider lives in a swamp beside the pass
It is 5 meters long and 3 meters tall, with the face of a demon, the body of a spider, eight legs, two hands with large pincers, a yellow striped body, and a dark brown body. Its entire body is covered in thick, wire-like hairs about 10 cm long.
It usually lives in the swamp,
and attacks and eats humans, bears, and wild boars that pass by on the road beside the swamp.
At night, no one passes along the mountain pass.
