実際には初夏（6月頃）から夏にかけて咲く
七草と言うが
葉や茎、種子などは有毒成分を含む
素人判断で食べるのは危険です
根（桔梗根）は漢方薬・食材として利用される
一般に食用とされるのは「根（桔梗根）」のみ
乾燥させて漢方薬や薬膳食材として利用される
生の根をそのまま大量に食べるのは良くない
