The story then shifts to the heroic tale of Susanoo, who, after being banished, descends to earth and slays the eight-headed serpent Yamata no Orochi. The scene then moves to his descendant, Okuninushi, who helps the White Rabbit of Inaba and, together with his companions, brings prosperity to the country in this ""nation-building"" story.
