弘法大師(空海)と天の邪鬼(あまのじゃく)が「一晩で紀伊大島まで橋を架けられるか」という賭けをしました

畑に車で行く車道

すぐに草で覆われる

年に三回は刈っている

The access road I drive to the field

gets overgrown with weeds so quickly—

I have to mow it three times a year.

村民農園の水は雨頼み

雨を集める波板の支持が

「チッチッ」と鳴きながらついてくる雀

転ぶと襲われる

If you stumble and fall, it will attack.

五月、ヒナで手に入れて現在

こんなに大きくなった

I got it as a chick in May, and now it's grown this big!
