宇治上神社(2023.1.1) Ujigami Shrine

京都府宇治市宇治山田にある。

京阪電車宇治線「宇治駅」下車徒歩10分）

宇治川の東岸の朝日山の山裾に、神社建築で日本最古の本殿である

宇治上神社がある。

拝殿（国宝）は、鎌倉時代前期のもの。

本殿（国宝）は平安時代後期のもの。

近くに鵜飼の小屋がある

Located in Ujiyamada, Uji City, Kyoto Prefecture.

10 minutes walk from Keihan Uji Line ""Uji Station"")

At the foot of Mt. Asahi on the east bank of the Uji River, 

there is Ujigami Shrine, the oldest shrine building in Japan.

The worship hall (national treasure) is from the early Kamakura period.

The main hall (national treasure) is from the late Heian period.

There is a hut for cormorant fishing nearby.
