終わったと思っていたら

急遽ラッキョウを抜いて耕してというから

また耕して畝を作ってやっと終わりました

I pulled up the garlic in the third field and planted sweet potatoes. Just when I thought I was finished, I was suddenly told to pull up the shallots and till the soil, so I tilled again, made furrows, and finally finished.
