北面の塗装中ですが、台風が接近中
足場が風で倒れるといけないので
いったん解体します
白色は４回塗ります
白い色は何回も塗らないと
綺麗な色にはなりません(色が止まらない)
We're currently painting the north side, but a typhoon is approaching.
We'll temporarily dismantle the scaffolding to prevent it from collapsing in the wind.
We'll apply four coats of white.
The white color won't look beautiful unless you apply it multiple times (the color won't stay).

落葉拾い(2025.12.23)Picking up fallen leaves
今日は通学路の坂の一番下
雨風で落葉が集まるところで
落葉拾い
すぐに軽トラがいっぱいになった
Today I was picking up leaves at the bottom of the hill on my way to school, where the wind and rain had caused the leaves to pile up.
Soon my pickup truck was full.

今日は坂道の落葉拾い
小学生の通学路
風で寄り固まっているので
拾いやすいが量が多いな
拾った足で村民農園に撒きに行った
ここはレモンが植えてある
Today I picked up fallen leaves on a slope.
They were bunched up by the wind and clumped together.
They were easy to pick up, but there was a lot of them.
After picking them up, I went to scatter them on the village farm.
There are lemon trees planted here.

外壁を洗います
洗車ブラシですがよく落ちます
洗いは高圧ジェットのイメ－ジですが
準備が大変なのと水量が多く使用する
場所によっては水仕舞いが大変で使えません
ゴミはケレンの方がよく落ちる
I wash exterior walls.
I use a car wash brush, but it removes dirt well.
I imagine it's a high-pressure jet, but it's difficult to prepare and uses a lot of water.
In some places, it's difficult to clean up, so I can't use it.
A scraper removes dirt better.

30kg収穫しました

落葉拾い(2025.12.18)Picking up fallen leaves
車があまり通らない場所の落葉拾い
ブロア－で集めるのが一番早くて楽
集めるのに３０分、拾うのに１時間
袋に６杯取れました
Picking up fallen leaves in places where cars don't often pass by.
Using a blower is the quickest and easiest way.
It took 30 minutes to collect them, and an hour to pick them up.
I managed to get six bags full.

丸太乗せ(2025.12.17)Log loading
切った丸太を運ぶために
軽トラに乗せる
一番大きい物で80kgくらいある
持上げて軽トラに乗せると
腰を痛めるので斜路を作り
ドリルウインチを使い乗せる
To transport the cut logs, they are loaded onto a light truck.
The largest one weighs about 80 kg.
Lifting it onto the truck would hurt your back, so a ramp is built and a drill winch is used to load it onto the truck.

昔はお寺でボーイスカウト、ガールスカウトの基地をやり
月に一回子供たちを集めて行事をやり
みんなにスイカ、ミカンをやり
小さいころからお寺に親しみを持つように
坊さんも努力をしていた
坊さんが葬式で金、金、金となってから
寺の有難味みが無くなってしまった
今寺が消えていくのは
種まきをしていないから
唱えているお経が意味わからないから
普段の日に寺に子供が居なくなったから
このままでは墓じまいが加速
檀家制度は崩壊するな

桜切り(2025.12.16)Cherry cutting
伐採木の中に桜の木があります
桜は固い木
薪スト－ブには適している
チェ－ンソ－の刃の長さより太い木なので
両側から切ります
Among the trees being felled is a cherry tree.
Cherry is a hard wood, suitable for a wood stove.
It is thicker than the length of the chainsaw blade, so we cut it from both sides.

刈り草を拾いに来ました
パット見少ないが
袋に詰めていくと減った気がしない
けっこうある
I came to pick up some grass clippings.
It doesn't look like much at first glance, but as I put them in the bag, it doesn't feel like there's much left.
There's actually quite a bit.
