綿向神社(2025.8.17)Watamuki Shrine

滋賀県蒲生郡日野町村井705番にある

正式名称は馬見岡綿向神社(うまみおかわたむきじんじゃ)

この神社の東、霊峰綿向山の山頂にある大嵩神社の里宮

蒲生氏郷の庇護を受け、日野商人の莫大な寄付や

町衆の厚い崇敬を受けた大きな神社

毎年５月３日の日野祭りに、この神社にたくさんの山車と神輿が集まる

Located at 705 Murai, Hino-cho, Gamo-gun, Shiga Prefecture, its official name is Umamioka Watamuki Shrine.

East of this shrine is the local shrine of Otaka Shrine, located on the summit of the sacred Mt.Watamuki. Under the patronage of Gamo Ujisato, this large shrine has received enormous donations from Hino merchants and deep reverence from the townspeople.

Every year on May 3rd, during the Hino Festival, many floats and mikoshi (portable shrines) gather at this shrine.
